Our USAP Community School scientists made waves this year as they represented us at the most prestigious national science competition, the Zimbabwe Science Fair held on 22 February at Westridge High School. They brought quality and thoughtful projects that tackle some of the world’s most pressing problems across a variety of fields, including climate change, water purification, agriculture, food security, and mining. Their expertise and dedication were on full display, and we are proud to announce that four of our students managed to scoop some of the top awards at the fair.
The USAPCS awards were as follows and in their respective categories:
Ruvarashe Moyo
- Silver Medal in the Category of Chemistry and Biochemistry
- Community Innovation Award
- 2024 Regereneron ISEF Finalist
Usher Runozivei
- Silver Medal in the Category of Engineering
Blessings Nyoni and Alexandar Magadza
- Silver Medal in the Environmental Sciences
- 2024 Genius Olympiad Finalist and a scholarship at Rochester Institute of Technology
