As we come to the end of 2019, we are very grateful for an anonymous donor who this year pledged $500,000 in matching funds to match every donation to the USAP Community School 100%. We are getting close to finishing off these matching funds and all donations between now and January 1 will still be matched 100%.
The USAP Community School will open in mid January with an inaugural class of 46 students, 26 girls and 20 boys in the L6 (11th grade) class. These remarkable students were carefully selected through applications, essays, interviews and placement tests and come from all ten Provinces of Zimbabwe as well as from the DRC via Tongogara Refugee Camp. They will be studying Cambridge A level sciences, an intensive English/Humanities core, computer literacy and coding, Reasoning, and applying their knowledge in a research capstone project.
To support the expenses and operational costs for our inaugural class of the USAP Community School, please consider making a tax-deductible donation on our Global Giving campaign.
